Double-end threaded rods and double-end threaded studs are fasteners that are threaded at each end with an unthreaded portion at the center. Also called connecting rods or double ended studs, they are typically used to join together female-threaded components that don't require a full thread or items that have different thread sizes. Double-end threaded rods are often bent to make specialized fasteners such as anchor bolts and U-bolts. These fasteners are commonly used in construction applications, plumbing fittings, metal fabrication, and machinery repairs.
