Aluminum U-bolts are lighter weight and more corrosion resistant than steel U-bolts, but aren't as strong. 304 stainless steel U-bolts have excellent corrosion resistance and good chemical resistance. 316 stainless steel U-bolts have excellent corrosion and chemical resistance.
